Please let me know if there are any photos you’d like me to take single photos of for clarity—or if you’d like to see close ups of signatures. All signatures ORIGINAL. Total of 7 ORIGINAL SIGNATURES (which include the Commander of the Bear and Ernest Flaherty along with Admiral Bryd).
All photos & letters came out of a photo album scrap book owned by Admiral Byrd’s friend Ernest M Flaherty
. These are some of the highlight photos/letters.

Consignor Researched and wrote:
“USS BEAR CARRYING BARKLEY GROW SEAPLANE ON BRYD EXPEDITION III”
And on the back of one photo it reads:
“Lt Theodore Hedlund talking to his friend Admiral Bryd (North Pole)”
Measures Approximately:
photos vary in size. The largest photos measure 10” x 8”
Condition:
Many photos have been written on in ink and are signed by Admiral Bryd. One photo is signed by a Commander of the US Navy who Commanded the USS BEAR (I believe it is
Rear Admiral Richard Harold Cruzen
, but it’s difficult to make out the name). There is also a Original Photo of Ernest Flaherty’s Wedding (I’m fairly certain it’s Ernest Flaherty’s Wedding Photo since it was in his Album). Photos & Letters have all yellowed/browned due to age. I placed many of them in acid free archival Board & sleeves. Stains in some photos, creases on some photos, see photos for any additional concerns/minor tears. Some of the photos have been removed from the scrapbook so they still have scrapbook paper glued to the back. Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as "described".
