Background Info: At the beginning of Italo’s Pro Surfing Career, he was fully sponsored by Oakley (clothing and accessories). He rode for Oakley for many years before signing with Billabong (whom he currently rides for). When he was riding for Oakley, they used to make wetsuits strictly for their surf team riders through a Japanese company named Bewet. This is the same way Volcom made team rider wetsuits strictly for their team riders. Bewet was and is currently one of the worlds leading wetsuit companies due to their quality materials and handmade Japanese craftsmanship. Bewet takes the measurements of the team riders and custom tailors wetsuits for their athletes.
Italo’s Wetsuit Top: This Wetsuit Top was made for Italo Ferreira (See photo #2 with his name on the suit). Due to the custom nature of this wetsuit top, Bewet did not include a size tag or size print because it was specially made for Italo’s body. This was made for Italo when he was a bit smaller so if I were to take my best guess, it is around a mens size medium. I could not find any photos of Italo wearing this particular top, however I included the last 2 photos in this listing of Italo wearing his other Bewet custom Oakley wetsuits. I do not have any doubt that Italo regularly wore this wetsuit here in Hawaii because the person I purchased this wetsuit from knows and corresponds with many of the pros on the North Shore so when the pros leave, they often leave behind surfboards and cool things like this.
