Even though the 3rd digit cannot be seen, the only possible dates that end in a 3 with this variety are 1843 or 1853 no arrows. When you compare examples of both dates, you can clearly see differences in the shape of the 1 and 3 in each date. The rounded top of the 3 confirm this is a rare 1853 no arrows variety!
