    Nice Looking Early Date Better Variety Coin, This is the NO DRAPERY 1840-O coin. Acceptable Color, Dark on the coin is toning & dirt. Full Strong Rims, Nice Obverse Details for a lower grade, Nice Reverse Details. No detracting rim dings. Many of these old coins have been cleaned so this look is common and what is normally found for the early dates. Please bid with confidence because I stand behind what I sell.
    THE BAD NEWS:
    Lightly Cleaned and or dipped long ago. If you view the coin in just the right lighting at just the right angle you can see some scratches across the obverse. Still a pleasing coin.
